Bundschu Winery

Sonoma, CA

Bundschu Winery wedding venue in Sonoma, CA

Wedding Videography at Bundschu Winery

Bundschu Winery is something rare in California wine country: a sixth-generation family estate that has been farmed continuously since 1858 and has never lost its soul. Situated in the Carneros region of Sonoma, where the San Pablo Bay tempers the climate and the hills roll endlessly into the horizon, the property offers a visual environment that feels both timeless and alive. For wedding cinematography, Bundschu delivers the kind of landscape that simply does not need to be dressed up.

The heart of the estate is a panoramic vineyard landscape that stretches in every direction. Rows of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Noir vines follow the contours of the hillside, creating natural leading lines that draw the eye deep into the frame. At the center of it all sits a private lake surrounded by heritage oak trees, a setting so inherently cinematic that the first time you see it at golden hour, you understand immediately why couples choose Bundschu for one of the most important days of their lives.

The estate's history adds a layer of meaning that few venues can offer. Over 160 years of continuous family ownership means this land has witnessed generations of celebrations, harvests, and milestones. The winery's signature spirit is irreverent, independent, and deeply Californian, and that carries through into the atmosphere of every event held here. Bundschu weddings feel personal and lived-in in the best possible way.

For ceremony and reception spaces, the outdoor vineyard settings are the main draw. The hillside vineyard provides a dramatic backdrop for ceremonies, with vines stretching away behind couples as they exchange vows under open Sonoma sky. The lake setting is especially powerful in the late afternoon, when golden light skims across the water and reflects into the surrounding oaks. Cocktail hour on the estate terrace, with panoramic views of the Carneros hills and San Pablo Bay in the distance, is a natural gathering moment that films beautifully in every direction.

Film House Weddings recently connected with the Bundschu team and we are proud to be working with this historic estate. The combination of the estate's visual richness, the quality of Sonoma light, and the genuine warmth of a venue that has been family-owned for over a century makes Bundschu one of the most compelling wedding cinematography settings we have encountered. We would be honored to capture your celebration here.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend 9 to 18 months for peak season (May through October).

What is included in a wedding film package?

Our team works directly with your planner and photographer to ensure seamless coverage from getting ready through the last dance.

Absolutely. Coordination with your vendor team is a core part of our process. We work directly with your planner and photographer before and during the wedding day to make sure everyone is in sync and no moment is missed.

Do you offer drone videography?

Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on, coordinated with local airspace rules and any venue restrictions.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

Delivery timelines are discussed during the proposal stage and depend on the season and edit scope. Expedited delivery is available if you need your film sooner.
